No cleaning of room during the 3 nights… was clean to start but we had kids with us. During stay the temp locally at night was cool 12 degrees but room still 23 degrees with window open. So hard to sleep, had had the window shut as london is noisy but was even hotter the first night…. Woke with a hanger without drinking. Bathroom has no ventilation (fan vent appears to be decorative) so all steam and smells get to linger and marinate with you with you during the night. We were on top floor but hotel is only the top few floors of tower so not sure a lower floor would have been better. Could have had a nice view but had scaffolding over the entire building - not really a critique as repairs need doing I guess but means there was literally no positives, unless you count the fact that it had beds and a bathroom.
Very shocked by building work , covered in scaffolding which we were not informed about! We paid £100 per night for a box of a room with doors banging all night , people shouting and talking during the night it was disgusting! A young man who was staying with work had had his van stolen so that was a worry leaving our car in the parking area!
We were located on the 9th floor, surrounded by scaffolding, so the view was obscured. Occational drilling sounds eminated the building on more than one occasion. Our bins were riffled through the moment we left the room, we were accused of smoking in the room as there was cigerettes, medications and other things thrown away by the staff and we were told we were being investigated. As a disabled woman who has just recovered cancer it was awful. Absolutely invasive.
It's OK. We had to stay there in an emergency. There's a lift but no 'official' accessible rooms. You can technically get a wheelchair up in the lift and fold it to enter a room. It's the usual level of cleanliness and you can order a microwave burger! (who ever heard of a microwave burger?). But there is nothing exceptional there and you would want to be doing something significant locally to actually chose this place. If you're wanting to be local to Crystal Palace then please use another hotel as there are plenty round here.
What a bizarre hotel. Built above a car showroom, reception is on the 6th floor. Lift access is either the side street or carpark level. With all the construction work going on it was hard to find the entrance to the hotel. Carpark is "rooftop" open style but is height restricted to approx 2M so no access for vans I'm afraid. Lady on the reception was very cheery and professional. Rooms dated, windows have those sliding extra pane on so not the quietest. Hopefully these are getting replaced with all the construction work. Good location, local shops and Aldi supermarket close by.
